DELIVERING TOY SAFETY IN THE HAPPY MEAL
The world's largest chain of hamburger fast food restaurants, comprised of 48,000 restaurants, 1.7 million employees, and produced over $23 billion in annual revenue.
With operations in over 100 countries and nearly 68 million customers daily the ability to ensure product safety and consistency is a high priority. One facet of the organization was responsible for the distribution of nearly 1.5 billion toys annually and was required to monitor the lifecycle and maintain records of every action, test and document associated with each toy.
With dozens of raw material suppliers, multiple ad agencies, test labs and manufacturers, the ability to track product was challenging due to inconsistent applications and interfaces. Multiple systems were used and centralized data entry was non-existent.
